12"/10"Versalog 2 Slide Rule
Excellent (like new), bamboo, Log Log Duplex rule, metal framed glass cursor. This is the Geotec branded (Canadian Distributor) Hemmi/POST famous Versalog II full-sized duplex rule, the companion to the pocket sized 1461. This has blue and red scale markings with the GREEN COS scale added A scale, and adjustable metal end braces. These sets include the soft leatherette case and rule.
A powerful duplex rule, this has 8 Log Log scales, split high resolution square root scales (R1/R2) plus A scale, folded and trig scales. A very attractive and hard to find rule, this style is always in high demand, but is hard to locate in such good condition. Made by Hemmi in Japan, these are late-production sets in excellent condtion, they were stock for Canadian Forces training classes.

Beautiful to look at, silky smooth to use!
The picture is NOT the actual example offered, but looks the same, VERY late production. Sadly, these late rules came with very poor quality padded vinyl cases, which usually broke at the flap, so we wind up having to package these rules with our new Sphere cases. |

We get only a few sets that are well cared for, these is in excellent condition. The rule and case are both free of marks, and ae clean and bright.
This is a later production POST model of the Versalog with the GREEN COS scale. Laminated bamboo construction, self lubricating design.
Wears very well, and slides smoothly under all conditions. This is the classic high end slide rule from POST. This is the highest demand rule series after K&E Deci-lons, and the favorite of many collectors and users. Beautiful to look at, silky smooth to use! The nicest Hemmi bamboo Mannheim rule offered by POST, with reversible slide, formulas and conversions on reverse side, side rulers in inches and cm. White laminate, Sun/Hemmi Japanese bamboo construction, engraved scales in blue and red. Rule condition is excellent, with only good condition cardboard box cases, all have marks, sticker residue or rubbed paint areas.
This is my favorite POST mannheim rule, with a wider body than normal, much better heft and feel than many other rules, the ideal rule to leave out on your desk for daily use.
Several rules of the same type and condition are available.

12"/10" Full Size Mannheim Slide Rule.
K&E's most popular Mannheim rule, this is a mid production set of the famous 4053-3 rule, with the mahogany back, glass cursor, and 2 side rulers. This simplex rule has both inch and cm side rulers (great to leave parked on your desk!), all standard front/rear scales, plus conversion tables on the rear. Enjoyable to use, and lovely to look at.

Has slanted/red and blue colored directional trig scale markings, and a very good glass cursor. This is the actual set offered, serial number is 239711. This rule is not seen very often, especially in this late configuration. 10" Log Log Duplex Decitrig Slide Rule a very late version of this 4080 duplex rule, in my favorite inlaid wood edge format. Excellent condition rule, complete with improved cursor, and very good, orange sewn leather case and belt loop. Excellent improved cursor and lenses, everything looks very sharp, a great set for somebody looking for this rule, which has trig scales in minutes/seconds, unlike the decimal trig 4081. Pic is NOT the actual set but looks the same, actual serial number is 410233.The -3S part number means it was supplied with a sewn leather case, the rule is unchanged. I mistakenly thought this was a 4081 initially, as the inlaid style is very uncommon on the earlier 4080. CLICK HERE to see the inlaid edge markings. |

complete with sewn leather case. This is the early log log rule from K+E, which still has trig functions in degrees, minutes and seconds (useful for map navigation). This is a very early rule, with the flat plate, frameless cursor (patent date 8/17/18) in perfect condition, a very uncommon event.
The slide has serial number 331959, there is NO K+E logo, only the name, with early patent dates of june 5, 00; and Dec. 22, 08; and April 24, 24. The serial number and otehr clues appears to date the rule manufacture about 1933, 70 years ago. The rule is in very good condition, the case in good condition, but has numerous wear marks. A very nice set with old trig scales from long ago. |

This is essentially a late version of the 4053 made all of Ivorite like the 4150 series pocket rules, with folded scales, and decimal trig scales related to the C and D scales.The rule has side rulers in both cm and inches, the back has conversion factors. The rule and cursor are in excellent condition, the case is in good condition, with some folding creases at the top flaps. A very interesting rule that marked the serious shift along with the 4181 to ivorite body design for K+E. Serial number is 221778, the actual rule is pictured. |

This is another confusing K+E catalog numbering issue, the 68-1220 meant the 68-1210 rule in the green case, but the rule itself is unchanged at 68-1210, and is really the re-named 4081-3. Excellent condition rule, with excellent green leather flap case. Great metal work, cursor and lenses, beautiful condition set for somebody looking for this high end rule. This very late (1964 scale copyright) modern style rule has the unique inch/cm converter scales and rulers on the rear side. A very attractive and useful rule, with dual Sq scales, trig and folded scales, plus the metric conversion/rulers/log calculator on the rear face.The pic shows the actual condition. Nestler's most famous Mannheim rule, the same kind used by Werner von Braun and Albert Einstein. This rule has a mahogany core, with white celluloid faces, black, and red filled and engraved scales. Has the Rietz over-range scale extensions. This is a later production rule (R/3 revision), and in excellent condition over-all. Scales are unmarked. Glass 3 line cursor. 2-part black paperboard case in good condition. Pics ARE NOT the exact rule for sale, but look very similar, some additional scuffs on the box in this example for sale. This simplex rule has cm side rulers 1:1 and 1:25, (great to leave parked on your desk!), all standard front/rear scales, inner body ruler extension, and conversion tables on the rear. Enjoyable to use, and very lovely to look at. I think is one of the most classic and attractive German designs, and this example shows those features beautifully.

Faber's advanced duplex log log rule, widely used in Europe, but seldom seen in North America. This rule has a plastic body with adjustable gold anodized aluminum end braces, black and red filled and engraved scales, plus green accent stripes. This is a powerful design, with the Rietz over-range scale extensions, Pythagorean scale (P), 6 log log scales, and w and w' expanded square root scales.. Scales are all self-documenting on the right hand side, and the rule has a 5/6 line cursor.
This set has the green bottom/clear top plastic display case in good condition, and the original German factory manual. Enjoyable to use, and lovely to look at, this is a flexible rule with a very attractive appearance. The later 2/83N version adds multi-colored stripes on a larger body core. Pic is NOT the actual rule offered, but looks the same except for the manual. Everything is in very good condition. Note: be careful not to use windex or other ammoniated cleaners, as they will remove the colored strips and scale filling colors. |
