SHIPPING: Preferred and Alternate Methods as of 1/1/2011Preferred - Canadian ExpressPost which has guaranteed delivery time, is insured, and trackable on-line. We have an extraordinarily good success rate (better than 99.9%) with ExpressPost, so we highly recommend it, especially for one-of-a-kind items. It is cheaper than couriers, trackable, more reliable, fully insured and goes almost everywhere. USA destinations, shipping/handling minimum of $28.00 for any insured, trackable air shipment up to .5 kg/1 pound. (typical delivery within 5 business days). Canadian destinations are typically $12-18.00 (depending on location) with delivery within 2-3 business days. Europe, Australia, South America and other overseas areas via Canada Post International ExpressPost air mail insured service or Canada Post International Air Service where ExpressPost is not offered is $57.00 for parcels up to 500 grams/1 pound.Alternate - Regular Airmail. Virtually all of our shipment failures and delays have been because of this method, so it should be used with caution.USA Destinations are $12.00 for AirMail parcels up to 250 grams/.5 pound or $15.00 for parcels from 250 grams to 1 KG/2.2 pounds. This option offers no delivery guarantee or insurance so we can accept no liability for loss or damage.Canadian destinations are virtually identical to ExpressPost, so we do not offer this method within Canada, as it has no advantage to the customer.Europe, Australia, South America and other overseas areas via AirMail is $22.00 for parcels weighing up to 500 grams/1 pound. This service offers no guarantee, insurance or tracking and we can accept no liability for loss or damage. Transit times are unpredictable by this method, but service to Europe is generally very good, while service to South America is simply terrible.Alternate - Courier. This is usually the most expensive method, but can be the quickest.We can also ship FedEx or UPS when time or weight is critical, and overnight FedEx P1 shipping is available. Note that our pick-up cut-off time is noon PST for FedEx. We can use your account number, or bill to your credit card only. Our experience is that FedEx is the best solution for time critical shipments, UPS for heavy ones, but UPS has a higher damage rate. E-Mail Susan if you want a quote for shipping to other destinations, or for something heavy. Sorry, we can't safely send most individual small parts in a regular letter envelope, they get destroyed by the automated handling equipment. Sometimes we can ship very rugged parts in a small padded envelope by letter post. Ask Susan.There is a packing charge for large or heavy equipment, see the elsewhere in the FAQ for details.If we have your valid data on file, you can just click on the ORDER email link to place an order and indicate your approval to bill, and we will do the rest. VERY LATE MODEL, NIB, BRAND NEW, complete in factory box with leatherette case, "How to use Log Log Slide Rules" instruction manual. Engraved white plastic construction, black scales. This is a very sophisticated rule, made in a low cost format by Pickett, normally would have a T at the end for white Tradiational, but just says 140, even though yellow ones say 140ES. Go figure. Nce new batch just arrvied, quite a fluke to get so many at once. Final production type from Unique, in excellent new condition, with 2-color soft vinyl case and instructions. A good student rule (fully sink washable, great for young kids!), with filled scales, much more durable and easier to operate than their wooden rules. This has all scales Self-Documenting on the right hand side, great for learning! Pic is one of the actual rules offered. The scale choice is very puzzling to me, has no L, S or T scale, but does have an ST scale, go figure. (7 Scales) Front - K, A, [ B, CI, C, ] D, ST Back - blank back and slide. |

167/87 Rietz 6"/5" Rietz Pocket Slide Rule with padded vinyl slip case Mint condition new rule sets complete with green vinyl padded case, and factory manual in Spanish. An excellent plastic body pocket rule with 5-line cursor, two color (red/black) scale markings, over-range extensions to the basic scales, and cm edge ruler, with trig (S, ST, T) scales on the reverse of the slide! The rule is self documenting on the right hand side for all scales. A very nice pocket rule from Faber Castell. We will include a basic rule English instruction sheet from Pickett that covers most operations. We managed to buy another final lot of these new sets, and drop our price in the process, these are a great deal we won't be able to get again! (10 scales! 5 cursor lines, and cm ruler!) 13" / 10" plastic body Slide Rule VERY LATE MODEL, MINT CONDITION. NEW, mint condition FEDRA 868 sets with 2 part clear plastic case and manual (plus multilingual care strip), still sealed in the original factory plastic bag. Basic Rietz format rule with added features, has a black self-documenting scale arrangement and pale green slide. The slide reverse has Greek symbols, an odd bonus, and the instructions are well illustrated and very complete. It has a very unusual duplex multi-line cursor design that reads the rear scales without turning the slide, plus it has 3 log-log scales AND inch/cm rulers laid out to permit both physical measuring and unit conversion. The multi-line cursor does area of a circle, plus some other interesting stuff like horsepower conversion and iron bar weight. I confess I had never heard of this brand or physical design before we got these, but I am amazed at how nice a rule it really is. I believe it is a local house brand name for the Australian market, made by VEB Mantissa or a similar German maker. A very attractive rule, made in Germany.
