 Outside Sources for Manuals, Equipment, Cables and Parts  Skip the INTRO, Go RIGHT to the SOURCES! NAVIGATION: To make your life easier, and help you find exactly what you want, we have broken the on-line equipment catalogs into smaller sections. Just CLICK on the item you are looking for at the left, to see the matching catalog. Large graphical catalogs are a bit SLOW, so please give them a bit of time to load. The top header of each catalog is largely the same, so don't think you are stuck in one place!
SHIPPING: Canadian ExpressPost (NOT regular mail, this is like US Global Priority/Courier) Rates: To USA destinations, shipping and packing minimum of $23 for any insured, trackable air shipment up to 1kg (typical delivery within 5 business days), Canadian destinations are typically $10-14 (delivery within 2-3 business days). It is also possible to ship uninsured, untracked, small packets (250g max.) for roughly $12-14 to the USA, but delivery delays can be up to 8 weeks according to the US Postal Service, and so we cannot recommend it. Virtually all of our shipment failures have been because of this method, so it should be used with caution. We have an extraordinarily good success rate (better than 99.9%) with ExpressPost, so we highly recommend it, especially for one-of-a-kind items. It is cheaper than couriers, trackable, more reliable, fully insured and goes almost everywhere. Shipping/handling to Europe, Australia, South America and other overseas areas via Canada Post International ExpressPost air mail insured service or Canada Post International Air Service where ExpressPost is not offered is $51.00 for parcels up to 500 grams/1 pound. Shipping and packing via regular mail to these locales is $22.00 for parcels weighing up to 500 grams/1 pound. This service offers no guarantee, insurance or tracking and we then accept no liability for loss or damage. Transit times are unpredictable by this method. E-Mail Susan if you want a quote for shipping to other destinations, or for something heavy. Sorry, we can't safely send individual small parts in a regular letter envelope, they get destroyed by the automated handling equipment. We can also ship FedEx or UPS when time or weight is critical, and over-night FedEx P1 shipping is available. Note that our pick-up cut-off time is noon for FedEx. There is a packing charge for large equipment, see the FAQ for details. If we have your valid data on file, you can just click on the ORDER email link to place an order and indicate your approval to bill, and we will do the rest. If this is the first time you have dealt with us, you can phone (250) 769-1834 or FAX +1 (250) 769-4106 the billing info, or send it by the email link, as you prefer.  CONDITION: To answer your questions, YES, we completely check and inspect all used equipment, and do not offer any we feel is substandard. That gear is normally scrapped, broken down for parts, or may get offered as-is in the HOT DEALS section, with the unit's condition clearly identified. If there are any marks or detracting features, we clearly state them in the listing. Before shipment, we burn in the equipment for 24 hrs. again and re-check to be sure it is good prior to shipment.

We have used Ed Matsuda, and Manuals Plus a lot for printed copies, Artek Media and Dave Miller for electronic copies. Say hi for us when you contact these nice people!HAMEG, the european scope and instrument maker has a manual download site HERE. Some English manuals may not have full schematics, use the larger German version for that if you encounter the problem. Also software downloads and other useful stuff, a very handy page.

Often a very practical alternative to heavy and expensive printed manuals, and some can be emailed if you can receive large files.  Visit Dave Miller's site, WWW.AA4DF.COM, he has a very generous free download area which currently INCLUDES the highly requested Tek semiconductor cross-reference, and a giant library of excellent quality high resolution PDF Tektronix and other Test Equipment maker's service manuals, plus radio equipment (Collins, Yaesu, Icom, etc.) and broadcast gear. He often has these manuals on ebay, or you can just buy them directly, including the ability to download by FTP and avoid the mail wait if you can receive large files. Some printed manuals are also available. His free section is outstanding, and a very generous contribution to everybody trying to maintain older gear. Advantest has a free manual site for many instruments IN ENGLISH, have a look HERE This is a real treasure for many who have their spectrum analyzers and other instruments, but no documentation.Technology Systems has a great downloadable manual and data book library, have a look HERE Mauritron, A source for CD based scanned manual collections. Not used by us, but highly recommended, many unusual test, consumer and entertainment equipment manuals available HERE Give it a try, there are some wonderful items here.Racal Instruments, Racal/Dana and Dana Can't seem to find these manuals? No surprise, they keep changing their name! We tracked them down, however, and you can order direct from the factory for any of these units at the following numbers. Here's data on the very nice AN/URQ-10 Frequency standard, a great item for a 5Mhz shop frequency standard if you find one surplus. (new updated location!) He has just updated the entire site HERE which is easier to navigate, and beautifully laid out. An amazing source of free manuals and general reference information.The Valve Page The Valve Page, A fascinating UK site loaded with hard to find British test gear manuals for Telequipment, Marconi, Farnell, Cossor, Avo and others, plus lots of useful tube (valve) reference info and TV servicing data. Access declassified military technical manuals for common test equipment. Takes a bit of navigation, but you can download many common Tek, HP, Fluke and other test equipment manuals in Adobe Acrobat format. NOW REQUIRES 128 bit encryption capable browsers, IE5.50 and later 4.7X Netscape. CLICK HERE to start. Do not be deterred by some messages, this is now public information, you will be totally unable to reach anything sensitive. Caution, sometimes down for service, or heavily loaded, and slow to respond. The link has been updated, and it known to be good currently. Many cookies and scripts, some browsers may have trouble. The BAMA SITE is also very useful for HP manuals, especially older ones. There is also a temporary FTP site with many recently scanned HP manuals for older gear located HERE at ftp.agilent.com/pub/manuals. Also has many HP Journal Issues in a subdirectory. There is a similar site at Tektronix, LOCATED HERE. Not as much information, but sometimes you may get lucky! Once again, the BAMA SITE has a lot of good Tektronix info, including old catalogs and manuals, really worth a visit. There is also a similar site at FLUKE for Software and Manual Downloads, not easy to use, but sometimes productive. I found him very helpful on the phone, and he has 3,000 square feet of Tek spares and manuals, plus another outbuilding stuffed full of manuals and parts.
