The Hope 740 is another custom rule made by Concise and marketed under another label, in this case Hope, who offered both circular and straight rules from Japan. The 740 is a metric converter built on the Concise data center ‘chassis’. The front is a compact 3 inch pocket circular slide rule, attached to a rectangular data center card (with side inch/cm rulers on the back). The rear side has a C/F temperature scale, inch and centimeter rulers and a nice table of constants. A very handy rule for quick conversions of temperature, length, volume, weight and area, PLUS an extra C/D scale set for general calculations. Gilson’s most famous aluminum circular slide rule, with alternating yellow/white stripes and fractional converter/operator scales. This rule was made by Gilson in Florida but was also sold by numerous other companies, this is the Dietzgen version (slightly green tinted). This is a very powerful rule, with 3 sets of trig scales (sin/tan), giving performance equal to a much larger straight rule, and still has the factory box, and original printed manual.
The rule has unique fractional ‘binary’ scales that permit operations directly with fractional numbers, and also drill size scales. Rotating dual cursors with a slip clutch on one side, and a single cursor on the other.

This is essentially a late version of the 4053 made all of Ivorite like the 4150 series pocket rules, with folded scales, and decimal trig scales related to the C and D scales.
The rule has side rulers in both cm and inches, the back has conversion factors. The rule and cursor are in excellent condition, the case is in good condition, with some folding creases at the top flaps. A very interesting rule that marked the serious shift along with the 4181 to Ivorite body design for K+E.

The core is die cast zinc alloy to achieve the high detail, with either gold or silver toned plating, or nickel plating, depending on the design. The inner triangle design is Sierpiski’s fractal triangle. Each coin comes inside a clear plastic display carrier, and a padded cardboard display box with cutout for viewing the coin.
The Sunlight Coin is satin gold and silver finish with a jade accent, and is both a wonderful aesthetic addition to any collection, as well as having a unique feel, with a working slide rule on the face (the two outer scales are C and D, the innermost is a Log Log scale, and smith chart on the reverse). These 50mm diameter coins are heavy and thick (5mm), not a flimsy plastic item, but a solid metal good luck piece or pocket fancy you will enjoy for a long time.

Considered to be the most advanced slide rule produced: gold anodized adjustable aluminum end braces, duplex 5/4-line cursor, two color (red/black) scale markings, and trademark mint green stripe on primary scales (both sides), plus additional blue stripes on the A and B scales, and massive 2 1/4″ wide body. Expanded W square root scales, for both the square root of x and 10x, 8 log log scales, and raised rubber bumpers to prevent cursor scraping, and to give the rule grip on a desktop. 10″ Logarex/Koh-I-Noor Darmstadt Slide Rule VERY LATE MODEL, made in Czechoslovakia. Powerful, brand new full sized rule with front and back cm/inch edge rulers, smooth black scales, 3 log log scales on the slide reverse, pythagorean and trig scales, and 4 line cursor, and dual reverse side body cursors. Unusually marked, this rule contains ONLY scale equivalents, no arbitrary letters. Has a soft black padded leatherette case with top flap, and the name of the UK distributor for Logarex (Hellerman) embossed on one side. A very powerful and well-designed rule, but uncommon in North America. Like Pickett rules, this is lithographically made, not engraved, and has a shiny top coating for protection of the printed scales. A very nice desk rule to use for many purposes, thanks to the dual rulers. The 4 page Hellerman basic instructions are included.

A visually beautiful rule, complete with 2 part plastic case and factory box. The 544A features the trademark S/M blue slide and body braces, multi-line (5 line) cursor, plus two color (red/black) scale markings, and folded scales. The rule is self documenting on the right hand side for all scales. Staedtler-Mars rules are highly requested but quite uncommon in North America, and are very well made designs. Attractive blue slide and body braces, complement the bright blue and white two part plastic case. The folded scales are especially useful for mark-up/discount calculations, and a center index is well marked for this. The ‘invisible brace’ style with braces on the back gives the rule a very clean European look from the front.
Blank on the reverse side. These were still sealed in a factory bulk pack, so everything is in mint condition. We have included reprints of the S/M consolidated rule instructions because these came factory packed with no instructions.

Basic Rietz format rule (has over-range scale extensions for easier operation) with added reference features. It has a black/red self-documenting scale arrangement and pale yellow slide. The slide reverse has trig (S, ST, T) scales, and the back has a treasure trove of useful data and factors. It has a slightly magnifying multi-line simplex cursor design that does area of a circle, plus some other interesting stuff like horsepower conversion. These are beautifully made rules, very well constructed. We will include basic instruction reprints, as these came bulk packed with with no manuals.
